The Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ was held on January 6th. The morning service began with Matins – singing of Armenian Christmas Hymns followed by Christmas Badarak. During the Blessing of Water Service that took place at the end of the service, Avedis Ovanessian, one of the Altar Servers, stood as the “Godfather of the Cross.” Following the services, Christmas luncheon “Agape Meal” was enjoyed by all the parishioners.

The following Sunday, January 8th, we celebrated the Feast of the Naming of our Lord and performed the Blessing of the Water service again. The very special privilege of serving as “Godfather of the Cross” has been extended to Pete Klanian Blonkvist, one of our Sunday School students.
